Notification about marketplace listings

1. What the subscription covers

If you subscribe to an event (and optionally a specific ticket type), we'll notify you when someone lists their ticket for sale on the marketplace. The notification is informational — it is not a reservation or a right of first refusal.

• The ticket goes to whoever buys and pays for it first.
• Multiple subscribers may receive a notification about the same ticket at the same time.
• The ticket may already be sold by the time you open the notification.
• We do not guarantee that a ticket will become available at all.

2. Which channels we use to contact you

By subscribing, you consent to being contacted at the details you provided with marketplace notifications and related ticket offers:

• Email — to the address you provided.
• App (push) — if you have the MQTickets app and are logged in with the same email address.
• SMS and WhatsApp — only if you provided your phone number. This channel doesn't work without a phone number.

Consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time without justification. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.

3. Who may contact you — and who may NOT

Your consent applies to two parties only, no one else:

• MQTickets — with marketplace notifications.
• The event organizer — if, seeing the demand, they release additional tickets or make you an offer.

We share aggregated data with the organizer: how many people are waiting for tickets and for which ticket type. We do not share your name, email address, or phone number with them. If the organizer sends an offer, it's done through the MQTickets system.

We do not sell your data, and we do not pass it on to any other third party for advertising purposes.

4. What data we process and for how long

• Email address — to deliver the notification. Required.
• Phone number — for SMS/WhatsApp notifications. Optional.
• Event and ticket type — so we know what you're waiting for.
• The time of consent, the version of this notice, and the IP address of the subscription — so what you agreed to can be verified afterward.

We retain the data until you withdraw your subscription, but for no longer than 12 months after the event takes place, after which it is deleted. We keep the log proving your consent until legal claims become time-barred.

5. The data controller

Data controller: MelqAI Technológiai Kft. (MQTickets), operator of the marketplace notification service. The legal basis for processing is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)).

Our data processors (who act on our instructions and on our behalf): our email and messaging providers, and our hosting provider. They may not use your data for their own purposes.

Apart from them and the organizer named in section 3, we do not pass your data on to anyone — including the private individual selling their ticket.

6. Your rights

• You can request information about what data we hold about you.
• You can request correction or deletion of your data.
• You can request restriction of processing and object to it.
• You can request your data in a portable format.
• You can unsubscribe at any time — every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom.

You may file a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH) or with a court.

7. Unsubscribing

Every notification email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom that cancels your subscription with a single click. After unsubscribing, we won't send any more notifications for that event.
